Fixes for the problems customers hit most

Short, plain-English fixes for payment mistakes, order questions, reports and Media List mailboxes. Click a topic to read its article.

Orders & Payments

I paid, but my order still says Awaiting Payment

Your order only moves forward once you submit your payment details in the checkout and our team verifies the payment on the blockchain. Sending crypto alone does not confirm the order.

I pasted my wallet address instead of the transaction hash

This is the most common payment mistake. The TXID is not your wallet address, and it is not the PressFudge address shown at checkout. It is the long transaction hash of the payment you actually sent.

I sent crypto on the wrong network, or the wrong amount

Crypto only arrives if the coin, the network and the address all match the checkout exactly. USDT sent on TRC20 does not arrive at an ERC20 checkout, and vice versa, even if the amount looks right.

Where is my order, and where is my invoice?

You can check any order without logging in, and you can download its invoice from your dashboard.

Press Release & Reports

The company details on my order are wrong, or show my name instead of my client

Your account email identifies you, but company details are a separate record for each client. They are never filled in automatically from your account name or email, because many customers order for clients.

What does my PR Balance mean?

Every paid press-release order gives you 1 PR credit, and credits never expire. Your PR Balance page in the dashboard shows each credit and what state it is in.

Why was writing or white label added to my total?

Press-release writing is never included with any package. It is always a separate add-on, and white label is a separate optional add-on. Both are shown on the order form before you pay.

Where is my placement report, and what do Tier, Authority and Traffic mean?

When your release is distributed, you get a report link you can open and verify article by article. It lives on your dashboard order and is also emailed to you.

Media Lists: Mailboxes & Campaigns

SMTP test email fails: 535 authentication failed

Error 535 means your email provider rejected the username or password. The connection to the provider worked — the login itself did not. The most common cause is typing a name in the username field instead of the full email address.

My Gmail or Outlook mailbox will not connect

Gmail and Outlook both need their own special sign-in settings for SMTP. Your normal webmail password is often not enough on its own.

I can see journalists, but their emails are hidden

That is how the free preview works. Without a plan you see only the first page of Search and Outlets, and contact details stay masked — like an****@g**.com — until a plan is active. The first page starts with contacts who do have a public email, so you see the masked form at once. Clicking a masked email, a social button, a filter, a later page number, Lists, Campaigns or Mailboxes opens a popup asking you to buy a plan first. If a person honestly shows Not publicly listed, they have no public email in our data — there is nothing to mask, and we never invent one.

My campaign is not sending

Campaigns send from your own mailbox, not from PressFudge, so a campaign can only send when the mailbox, the list and the campaign itself are all ready. Work through this checklist in order.

How do I filter journalists and build a list?

Do not start from the full database. Filter first, so you pitch the twenty right people instead of blasting two thousand wrong ones, then save only the contacts that fit.

How do I run an email campaign?

A campaign is four steps in order: connect a mailbox, build a list, write a short sequence, then start it. Campaigns send from your own mailbox, so replies land in your own inbox.

My Media List access expired, and I cannot download lists

Media List Services is pay-per-period, not a card subscription, because payments are made in crypto. Nothing is ever charged automatically, so access ends when the period ends unless you renew.

Both Services, One Account

I bought Media Lists — how do I unlock the Press Release dashboard? And the other way round?

You only ever need one PressFudge account. Whichever service you buy first, the other service stays visible in the same account, and buying it unlocks it. There is no second login, and no one has to switch anything on by hand.
